Summary

The MMCA Wish Tree is a popular year-end event at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA), created by DOES in 2023. The installation, called "re:birth," uses 100 recycled mobile phones to form a digital tree where people can send their wishes. Visitors choose from 10 preset wish cards and send their messages through an easy-to-use kiosk. This system makes the experience smooth and engaging, combining art and technology beautifully. The 5-meter-tall tree is not just an art piece but also a way for people to connect and share their hopes. The event was well-attended, with many visitors also donating to support art therapy for underprivileged children, making it a heartwarming and hopeful way to close the year.
